Is NASHP?
The National Association of Senior Health Professionals
is a new Web-based membership organization specifically
designed to address the unique needs and special interests
of professionals in the rapidly growing field of senior
health.
Who
Can Join NASHP?
The association is open to any professional who
works with older adults in the public, private and non-profit
sectors. These include, but are not limited to, hospital-based
senior membership program directors, health educators,
health promotion staff, activity professionals, fitness
program and health club staff, and others. In short,
any professional interested in the field of senior health
should join this new organization.
Why
An Internet/Web-Based Professional Association?
The Internet provides members with instant access
to important association information. Members will find
job opportunities, discussion groups/bulletin boards,
industry news, and more24 hours a day/7 days a
weekat the special members only area of the NASHP
website.
Who
Organizes NASHP?
NASHP is a membership division of the Mature
Market Resource Center (MMRC), a national clearinghouse
for the older adult market. Other well known national
MMRC programs/services include, National
Senior Health & Fitness Day, the Mature
Fitness Awards USA, the National
Mature Media Awards, related senior market professional
publications and research services.
